CPUE is assumed proportional to vulnerable biomass, \(C/E = qB\). Fits \(\log I = \log q + \beta \log B\) (\(\beta = 1\): proportional; \(< 1\): hyperstable; \(> 1\): hyperdepletion) and the trend in \(\log(I/B^\beta)\) over years (catchability drift, e.g. effort creep). Needs the answer key (index_true), so it works on a floss_data.

Usage

cpue_check(data, species, source, iter = 1)

Arguments

data

a floss_data or a read_dataset() list.

species

species name.

source

fleet.

iter

iteration(s) (pooled).

Value

a floss_fit with pars (beta, q_trend_pct per year, r).
